MY PHILOSOPHY

My photography journey officially started in college when I took a film photography class to satisfy an art credit. It was one of the best classes and experience I was able to do in college. I fell in love with shooting on a film camera and learning to develop film and photos in the darkroom. I love the feeling of the hands on approach of rolling my film into the develop canisters and watching the image slowly appear on paper in front of my eyes. The memories from that image popping into my mind again. 

When photographing my couples, I'm all about the good stuff (those intimate glances, steamy kisses and heart warming laughter). I live for those adventurous and romantic love stories where connection matters. I'm excited to follow along your journey to share your laughter, tears and be there to document every single emotion you’ll feel during this magical time in your life. I've gotchu every step! From helping plan our time to get from location scouting, outfits, playing music (of your choice); I promise to always help pose and prompt you, making sure you don't feel awkward or leave you hanging. Along the way, we'll embrace the laughter and love bursting from those small moments where time stands still. Looking back at the images and reliving those beautiful memories. 

Why I love doing what I do!

What inspires me

After learning how to shoot film, I wanted to document my own adventures in Hawaii. Looking back at those photos, those moments create a flood of memories. Those memorable moments when I can imagine myself on the at the beach with my sand in the toes or the wind against face when I reached the viewpoint at the end of the hike. I wanted to be able to share my skills and create lasting memories for others. That’s when and why I began my biz, to be able to capture your love story and the emotion of memories that come with looking at those photos. 

Every shoot is a different experience and being able to capture your personality and story brings me so much joy. I am passionate about true love & quality time (one of my love languages). Those romantic or adventurous stories are my absolute favorite to capture. 
 
When I look at those old black and white film photos, with their high contrast and grain, gives me those nostalgic feels, like you can feel the emotions happening within the photo. It’s like stopping time to look at a frame from a movie where the romanticism and emotions where at the tipping point. It's like you're there yourself and can feel it all. That’s what I want you to feel when you look at your photos.

When looking back at these photos, you’ll be able to remember how you felt that time in your life, the sun your cheeks and wind through your hair, the laughter from what you said to one another, and the love that fills you up from head to toe when looking at your significant other.

BEHIND THE LENS

Expect me to be there with you every step of the way! Whether it’s waking up at 3 am to capture the sunrise (don’t worry I’ll bring coffee since I'm a total night owl, not so much a morning person) or running into the sunset and possibly into the blue hour and early nighttime. I’ll be there at first light or mid day to capture those getting ready photos and first look at your airbnb. We’ll make the best adventure, whether it's heading to the the beach or taking on the most epic hike to that perfect spot for those jaw dropping view or waterfall, or for your couples session, getting cozy with pizza and beer at home or having a night out on the town. I’ll be there for it all. Whether you want me up in front and center directing or inconspicuous lurker capturing those might've missed moments and candid photos. 

Worried about the rain? Don't worry I got you covered (maybe quite literally under an umbrella) but some of the dreamiest photos have been shot in the rain, and don't forget the rainbow after the storm with that jaw dropping sunset! Some of the best (or should I say most EPIC) sunsets are always after a big storm. 

I'll be there for you every step of the way. I got your back!

MY FAV THINGS

My top favorite thing is food! I love all types of food, specifically Mexican food (tacos and nachos are the way to my heart) or yummy sweet deserts like cheesecake or apple crumble cake with vanilla ice cream (*chefs kiss). 
 
When I’m not out exploring or shooting my beautiful couples, I’m at the gym listening to teen angst songs (rock and heavy metal), or cuddling up on the couch with my pups to binge watch tv.  Puppies, are also my top 3 favorite things - specifically mine lol but all dogs are pups in my eyes, they make me so happy, especially puppies with a fat belly will have me swooning and wanting to smoother them with love. But when there aren't any other pups around besides my own, you'll find me spending time quality time with my pups and hubs watching our tv show. 

My favorite hobbies are exploring new places and hiking. Some of my favorite memories are from exploring the beautiful streets of Paris and Kyoto, and exploring the hidden gems of Okinawa. I love traveling to new places and exploring all the beautiful destinations it holds.  

My true love is in the mountains (since I grew up in Arizona surrounded by the desert and mountains) but I’ve found a space in my heart for the beach, especially coastal cliffs, after living on a tropical island for the past 6.5 years. 

I’m passionate about quality time and exploring this beautiful earth we call home. These are just a few of my favorites and a lil about my life.  Everyone has a unique story to tell and is one of the reasons why I love documenting love stories (and hopefully yours too!).
